I started reading The Da Vinci Code past Monday, and I finished it on Wednesday. It was a pretty good book. The way the plot was carried out was almost identical to Dan Brown’s previous book, Angels & Demons. Overall, I like both books, but I think that Angels & Demons was a little more interesting, and made me want to keep reading on more as I was reading it.

Anyway, the reason why I decided to read it last week was because the movie (The Da Vinci Code) just came into the theater. Because the book’s reputation, I wanted a taste of it before going into the movie. In a way, I think that it was a pretty good choice. Going into the movie before finished reading the book would pretty much spoil the ending. Having read Angels & Demons, I decided that I should fully enjoy reading The Code. So, I went to the movie with Scott and P’Yot today not expecting too much from it. There is no way that they would make a movie that would up to par with such book (unless if it were made into a 3-part movie or something). It turned out that even with low expectation, I considered the movie a piece of trash. Somehow, I felt that it strayed away from the book too much, and the characters in the movie did not portray the characters from the book very well (at least not the way I understood from reading it).
Well.. this is too much ranting for the day already… going to bed now…
