Chicago-Evanston Day 0 & 1
July 22nd, 2006
I drove from State College, PA to Evanston, IL last week (July 10). I went there so that I could drop Noi off at the airport for her flight back to Thailand. The drive took about 9 hours of driving plus 90 minutes of breaks. It was a pretty lengthy and boring, but I survived. By the time I got there, I was more than ready for dinner, shower, and a warm bed.
The next day was pretty much uneventful. We planned to go into Chicago, but didn’t go because it was raining almost all day. So we ended up watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest instead. The movie wasn’t bad, but I wish it actually ended in itself. Later that day, we went to a rose garden nearby and took several dozen of photos…

Hi ka. Thank you so much for driving me all the way to Chicago na ka. I really appreciate it, and I just wanted to let you know that it really meant a lot to me na ka.
Anyway…
so sorry to hear the drive was boring for you…
I guess from the perspective of someone not having to drive like me… it was a whole lot different to someone who had to drive the whole way…
No matter what… I actually enjoyed every second I spent with you na… even when we were on the cars driving through the middle of nowhere in indiana…
Thank you very much na ka.
